Model-CM4812 Series Tapping Machines - Description

The CM4812 series of CONMAT tapping machines are used to make 12” to 48” taps while pipeline is under pressure without interrupting service.

Hot Tap Machines Features

  • Hot Tap Machines all CM0412 models have a maximum operating pressure of 1480 PSIG at 100°F and 700 PSIG up to 700°F.
  • Drive - Machine is hydraulically driven. We recommend to use CONMAT’s Make Hydraulic Power Pack
  • Mounting Flange - 6” 600 Class, RTJ Type
  • Hot Tap Machines are rated for standard packing at 1480 PSIG up to 100° F.
  • Severe packing is rated at 700 PSIG up to 700° F
  • We recommend that for most normal operations, standard packing be used with Hot Tap Fittings to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Severe service packing relies upon higher temperatures to provide sealing capabilities
  • For higher temperature operations, please consultCONMAT customer service
  • Meets NACE Requirement upon request

Model - CM0412 Series Tapping Machines - Description

The CM0612 series of CONMAT tapping machines are used to make 0.5” to 4” taps while pipeline is under pressure without interrupting service. Thetapping machine is furnished with a ratchet crank handle as standard. Optional power-drive with air drive socket and air wrench is available.Consult CONMAT for additional sizes.
